Offer DS3 service to an entirely new group of customers - those fed by copper. 

 

It is estimated that as little as 15% of businesses are fed by fiber.  This leaves 85% of businesses with few alternatives for high speed voice and data connections.  The DS3-EXPRESS modules are designed to expand service to the other 85%.

 

DS3-EXPRESS modules extend DS3 service over 4 standard, outside plant, copper pairs up to a half a mile.  The modules may be used in a back-to-back "repeater" configuration to double that distance. 

 

Fiber trenching or roof top leases are eliminated, saving time and money and alleviating the risk of payback if service is moved or cancelled. 

 

 

Pulsecom introduces the new DS3 over fiber extension module, the O3D3-MO.  This module incorporates SFP optics to simplify CWDM applications.  Because the OC3 is SONET compliant, the fiber may be terminated directly into a SONET mux eliminating the need for additional Central Office equipment.  And with available multimode SFP optics, the O3D3-MO is perfect for fiber up-the-riser applications too.
