OBBF and OBBFR: DDM-2000 Optical DS1 Extensions
Pulsecom extends the reach of the Alcatel/Lucent DDM-2000 with a new line card that provides optical DS1 extensions.
The OBBF line card is installed directly into a low-speed card slot of the DDM-2000. A single fiber carries traffic to a remotely located OBBFR device which presents four DS1 interfaces. The OBBFR device is OSP ready and its small size makes it an easy fit in cramped cabinets, telephone rooms, or cellular providers' suites.
The result is a remarkably inexpensive way to provide DS1 services to businesses and cell sites without any additional investment in systems, training, or network management.
Features:
No new provisioning requirements - provisioning is the same as the BBF1 or BBF3 line cards
No new heat, power or placement restrictions on the OBBF line card or DDM-2000
Performance Monitoring through the DDM-2000 Controller (same as BBF3 line cards)
Climate Hardened
GR-1089-CORE OSP lightning protection on DS1 ports
OBBFR powered via +/-24 VDC or -48 VDC.
Applications:
- Cell Site Access
DS1 Delivery to Businesses
