Dear Reader,

O3-12D1 with mugThousands of Pulsecom O3-4D1 DS1 Extension modules have been delivering DS1 services across America without the need for conventional, large, expensive systems.   Now we've tripled the density.  In the same compact form factor the O3-12D1 transports 12 DS1s over a fully SONET-compliant OC3.  Its compact size enables placement virtually anywhere - in a customer's premise, a cellular provider's suite/hut, a remote DLC cabinet, a telecom closet, etc.
DS1 Extensions over SONET
O3-12D1

The O3-12D1 extends 12 DS1 interfaces over a SONET OC3 transport.

O3-12D1
  • Low First Costs - Stand-alone design means no systems or common cards.   One module is all you need.
  • Optionless SONET (patent pending) - OC3 provisioning is eliminated simplifying turn-up
  • STS-1, VT1.5 mapping - Standard SONET transport allows for fiber termination directly into a SONET mux
  • 24/48V Powering - Flexibile powering capability simplifies installation at cell site or telco environments
  • Compact, NCTE Form Factor - Commonly used NCTE mountings or Pulsecom CPE, wall, and rack mountings ensure installation is possible virtually anywhere-including DLC cabinets
  • Plug-and-Play migration - DS3 and 10/100/1000BT services can be added simply by adding or replacing a module
  • Efficient Fiber usage - modular optics support 1310/1550nm, CWDM and single fiber bi-directional transport
