PCAU-SUITE
The armored PCAU-SUITE is a fully integrated and complete Studio to Transmitter Link solution for most HD, FM and AM applications, plus
Best-in-the-industry redundancy and resiliency for e-RadioT Smart Grid applications

Every PCAU-SUITE includes:
- Adaptive, Full Duplex stereo 22.5 kHz links with Enhanced apt-XT and bit error protection to support a simultaneous STL and TSL (Transmitter to Studio Link)
- AES/EBU Digital and 24-bit Analog. 4.5ms delay. 105dB SNR. Jensen transformers
- A dedicated, private line 360 kb/s Ethernet link for HD2, HD3 and remote LAN connections
- A bi-directional RS232 RDS link for Program Associated Data
- DC contact closures with high voltage and optical isolation for STL and TSL GPIO applications
- Ability to be installed at the studio-end or tower-end to reduce spares and cost
- Exclusive Pulsecom Lightning Protection - deployed in almost 50,000 cell site tower T1 ports and called "best in the industry"
- Self-healing as well as Fail-safe Power Cross protection to help prevent studio and broadcast tower fires
- Redundant T1 network ports with pop-free transitions. Integrated T1 DSU/CSUs to support direct connections to leased T1s
- Redundant A-side and B-side battery back-up ports (24V to 48V) for powering as well as a built-in direct 120Vac powering
- A drop-out-relay port to support automatic switching to a redundant external analog link in case of catastrophic failure (both power sources fail, both T1 circuits down, etc.)
- In addition to the redundancies, armored construction includes ½" thick aluminum faceplate, 18 gauge carbon steel galvanneal surround, gold plated Audio, T1, Ethernet and signal connections and tin DC power connections in a 1.75" high 19" rack-mounted configuration
Everything is built in. Why?
1. It's less expensive
2. Lots of interconnections, powering schemes and card slots are eliminated to improve reliability
3. Integration can radically reduce network complexity
4. Expensive "nice to haves" with other systems can be included for free
Has Pulsecom really shipped 10 million circuits and 7,500 STL units to the public network?
Yes
Is this experience part of the PCAU-SUITE's seamless interface to T1 service providers?
Yes
